虾聊红包扫雷sir ian davis graduated from balliol college at the university of oxford with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in philosophy, politics and economics and spent his early career at bowater, a paper manufacturing company, before joining mckinsey & company in 1979. he was a managing partner at mckinsey & company for 31 years until his retirement in 2010 and served as chairman and worldwide managing director between 2003 and 2009. sir ian has remained as senior partner emeritus of mckinsey & company, since his retirement in 2010. he also served as lead non-executive board member for the cabinet office from 2015 to 2016, before stepping down in march 2016.
Sir Ian was given the honour of knighthood in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to business.
sir ian brings global financial and strategic experience to the board. he has worked with and advised global organizations and companies in a wide variety of sectors including oil and gas and the public sector. he is able to draw on knowledge of diverse issues and outcomes to assist the board and its committees.
Sir Ian’s previous experience as a non-executive director for the Cabinet Office gives him an important perspective on government affairs which is an asset to both the board and the geopolitical committee.
